I
have known Kathleen Sheridan for more than
a decade and through the years, she has doggedly
worked on several projects for me and with
me. Kathleen was a contributing writer for
Detroit Monthly when I was a managing editor
there in the 90s and she constantly came up
with wonderful ideas. She also has worked in
special-event planning and has been a regular
contributor for several years for a magazine
called Michigan Meetings & Events of which
I was a editor. I also have worked with her
in set design for Oakland County-based Style
Magazine photo shoots in the metro area and
outside the metro area.
Kathleen
is always the one with the great ideas. She
brings vigor, vitality and loads of creativity
to every event, story, photo shoot or styling
on which she works. She was the one on the
staff who would always help out in a pinch
no matter what she was working on and what
deadlines she had. If a co-team member needed
help, Kathleen would be the first one there.
If an editor needed help, she would squeeze
in time (often personal time) and work for
the betterment of the team. She offered friendship,
good story and creative ideas, camaraderie,
team-playing and more.
I
also have worked with Kathleen on several personal
events and again, she produces nothing but
the best. Her styling techniques are awe-inspiring
and always receive rave reviews from clients,
guests and co-workers. She is certainly worthy
of whatever you may be considering her for. |

Thanks
to you the Holiday Hop was a huge success.
We
have received numerous positive comments
about the children’s activities, the
dance team, the fabulous abundance of food
(the malts were a big hit), and the decorations.
Our employees were totally surprised by the
transformation from an office building to
party atmosphere. And, your staff was very
friendly, courteous and efficient.
While
the Holiday Hop Committee and I are receiving
all of the compliments, the real accolades
go to you, Birdie, for your creative solution.
I recognize ions to a challenging budget and
location. I recognize and appreciate how much
time and energy you put into planning and executing
this event.
On
behalf of Charlene, Chris, Rick and me, we
enjoyed working with you throughout the entire
process and look forward to working together
again. |

I
had the great pleasure of working with Kathleen
at Detroit Monthly magazine many years ago, when
I was managing editor. She came to me with wonderful,
creative ideas for food stories that appeared during
my tenure.
Since then, she has blossomed in her career as a
food writer, food stylist, and restaurant critic.
She has worn many other hats, too. She is a multitasker
extraodinaire!
Over the years we have known each other, I've always
found Kathleen to be "artisitc", intelligent,
practical, straightforward, and best of all, "hilarious".
Because of her offbeat sense of humor and upbeat
attitude, Kathleen is someone everyone wants to be
around. |
Sincerely,
Patty LaNoue Stearns |
